## Meta unveils $1,299.99 VR glasses and its first camera-free Ray-Bans

Meta's Connect keynote delivered two new kinds of face computers. Meta VR Glasses cost $1,299.99 and arrive next spring. A tethered puck does the computing on Qualcomm's Snapdragon Reality Elite chip. Meta rates them at up to three hours of media playback.

The glasses you can buy today are cheaper. Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3 starts at $449, with nine hours of battery and new Aviator and Zena frames. Ray-Ban Meta Audio drops the camera entirely. It costs $349 and ships October 13.

Zuckerberg closed with Muse Charm, a keychain gadget that carries Meta's Muse AI agent. There's no price yet. Meta now has a face computer at almost every price point. And for the first time, people who hate cameras on glasses have a Meta option.

#### Attackers pounce on a critical WordPress flaw

Attackers are exploiting CVE-2026-87902, a critical WordPress bug rated 9.2\. It's an unauthenticated path traversal flaw. On some servers, it leads to remote code execution.

WordPress shipped the fix in version 7.1.2 on Tuesday. Probing started less than five hours later. By Wednesday, attackers were trying to write files to disk.

Every version from 4.7.0 through 7.1.1 is affected. If your site hasn't updated itself, update it today.

#### FDA advisers back Grail's multi-cancer blood test

An FDA advisory panel endorsed Galleri, Grail's blood test that screens for many cancers at once. Panelists voted 10-0 on safety. They voted 7-2, with one abstention, that benefits outweigh risks.

Effectiveness was closer, at 6-4\. The FDA doesn't have to follow its panels, but it often does. A decision is expected in early 2027.

Approval would move one-draw cancer screening from niche to mainstream medicine.

#### Must-See: Elon Musk's Version of the iPhone

The biggest product ever”

Remember when Steve Jobs launched the iPhone…

And all of a sudden everyone felt like they HAD to have one?

I believe history is about to repeat itself with [this new Elon Musk product.](https://tech-24-links.com/yyetf6a1)

Imagine if you could go back and invest in Apple before it launched the iPhone.

That's the opportunity in front of you.

But there's one big difference…

Elon is predicting [this will be much, much bigger than the iPhone.](https://tech-24-links.com/yyetf6a1)

In fact, he called it "the greatest tech invention in history."

No wonder he quietly filed [this patent with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office](https://tech-24-links.com/yyetf6a1) to protect what I believe will be his next AI breakthrough.

Look, scientists have been trying to develop something like this for almost 50 years.

Nobody was ever able to do it…

Until now.

Elon Musk did it…

And it's going to be a game changer.

[Click here now to get the details](https://tech-24-links.com/yyetf6a1) and I'll discuss the stock you need to buy now… BEFORE the big launch. (No, it's not Tesla or SpaceX.)

#### Tesla's own app leaked the Optimus Gen 3 design

Tesla's Android app shipped with renders of its next humanoid robot. Three image files labeled "gen3" sat inside app version 4.60.5.

The renders show a cleaner machine. Exposed actuators and wiring are now covered. The forearms look thicker, and the hands look slimmer and more human.

Tesla hasn't commented. Still, this looks like a robot designed for production lines, not stage demos.

#### Drone maker Tekever hits a $6.4 billion valuation

Portuguese-British drone maker Tekever raised $580 million in the first close of its Series D. The round values it at $6.4 billion.

UC Investments, the University of California's investment arm, co-led with Baillie Gifford. It's UC's first direct investment in Europe. Tekever's drones have logged over 50,000 flight hours in Ukraine.

The raise follows a British Army surveillance contract worth up to £400 million. European defense money is now chasing drone makers, not just tanks.

#### BitMEX shuts down for good after 11 years

BitMEX stopped operating at 04:00 UTC on Wednesday. The crypto exchange announced the closure in July after a strategic review.

Trading and deposits are over. Users can still log in and withdraw funds while the wind-down continues.

BitMEX was once a derivatives giant. Rivals like Binance, Bybit and OKX took its traders. If you still hold funds there, withdraw them now.
