Apple's M6 MacBook Pro Starts at $1,999 and the M6 iMac at $1,499

Apple announced a 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M6 chip Tuesday. It starts at $1,999 with 16GB of memory and 1TB of storage, per 9to5Mac. Pre-orders open today. Deliveries start November 6.

Apple says the M6 has a 12-core CPU and the laptop runs up to 24 hours on a charge. The 24-inch iMac also moves to M6. It starts at $1,499, the same as before, and the 12-core model costs $1,699.

SK Hynix Says Memory Will Stay Short Through 2030

SK Hynix expects memory demand to outrun supply through 2030, The Register reports. The company gave the outlook with its third-quarter results. It blames AI spending and the years it takes to build new chip plants.

Fourteen big customers signed long-term deals with SK Hynix. They will take more than half of its output in 2027 and 2028. Its chief financial officer, Kim Woo-hyun, said PC and phone shipments should fall as memory costs climb.

If a new laptop or phone is on your list, waiting for cheaper memory looks like a losing bet.

FCC Clears Amazon's $11.5 Billion Globalstar Purchase

The FCC approved Amazon Leo's $11.5 billion purchase of Globalstar on Tuesday. Amazon gets Globalstar's satellites and spectrum. It also takes over Globalstar's phone-to-satellite partnership with Apple, Light Reading reports.

Amazon filed in April for a constellation of up to 5,105 satellites that would talk straight to phones. The FCC is still reviewing that request. Amazon hasn't said when the deal closes. It expected 2027 at announcement.

Starlink leads phone-to-satellite service today. This gives Amazon a real way in. The deal hasn't closed, so nothing changes on your phone yet.

Elon is going all in on THIS

Must-see video reveals everything

Take a look at this…

Terafab

It’s Terafab — Elon Musk’s new AI chip factory in Texas.

You see, Elon needs more AI chips than the whole industry can make today…

So he decided to mass produce his own.

But there’s a catch…

Chips alone won’t cut it.

Because AI can’t scale without a radical “light-speed” device…

Not even Elon’s.

Yet most Americans have never heard of it.

Former Wall Street insider Jason Bodner — the same man who called Nvidia at $4.50 split-adjusted — says this device is about to launch a whole new wave of AI winners…

And to prove it, he’s giving away his #1 stock involved with it — for free.

 Click here to learn more.

Stocks tied to this “light-speed” device already surged 133%, 217%, and even 320% — in a few short months. But it’s just getting started. Click here before the mainstream catches on.

Anthropic Details Early Drug Work With Six Partners and Buys Mithril Medicine

Anthropic said Tuesday it's working with six partners on early drug development. It also bought Mithril Medicine, a one-person company developing treatments for two rare forms of muscular dystrophy.

At BigHat Biosciences, Claude proposed changes to two antibody leads. The team tested about 1,010 variants in ten weeks, and the best bound more than ten times tighter. At Enveda, Claude read 1,061 pages of manufacturing documents. Human review time fell 89%.

Most of this is lab work, not human trials. Anthropic says a Mithril drug could reach people as soon as late 2028. The results come from Anthropic and its partners. Regulatory teams can test the paperwork claim on their own documents this week.

Discord Will Put Public Server Messages in Search Results

Discord will make some public server messages searchable on the open web, TechCrunch reports. Each of its 63,000 Discoverable Servers gets a web page on November 16. Selected messages may reach search engines in mid-December.

Server admins choose which channels count. Members can opt out in their settings. The feature is off by default in the EU, UK, Canada, Brazil, Australia and South Korea. Teens, private servers and direct messages are excluded.

Critics worry about lost context and AI training. If you post in public servers, check your opt-out setting before November 16.

CFTC Sues Utah to Protect Kalshi's Prediction Markets

The CFTC sued Utah on Tuesday to stop the state's move against Kalshi, CoinDesk reports. Utah's attorney general declared Kalshi's betting a public nuisance last week. He called it an online casino.

The CFTC says federal law makes it the only regulator of prediction markets. It's fighting ten states. Three federal appeals courts have ruled so far. Two sided with states and one with Kalshi.

Former CFTC chair Gary Gensler has already filed a Supreme Court brief against the agency's position. If you trade on Kalshi, expect the rules on where you can bet to keep shifting.
